Message from the President, Jim Coles

Design West approaches every project with the same  philosophy:  We are one part of a total project team, one gear in the complete machine that will ensure a successful project.  A project cannot be successful without constant collaboration and communication among the design team and the owners and users of a facility.  Building long-lasting relationships with our clients is the cornerstone of our business.   When we were established in 1983, we made a conscious decision to focus our efforts on institutional planning and design.  Since that time we have developed a large and varied client base, continued to grow and expand our technological capabilities, and have become a recognized leader in the design of educational, community, commercial, health care and worship facilities.  We currently have three locations - -Meridian, Idaho and Pullman and Kennewick, Washington.  The  multiple office concept is a deliberate strategy to make principals and staff more accessible to our clients throughout the northwest.  Design West has many repeat clients - evidence of satisfied customers whose expectations have been met and exceeded.  We look forward to building upon our relationships with existing clients and creating solid partnerships with new clients.  Thank you for your interest in Design West Architects.
